You can easily change the size of Internet Explorer’s toolbars if you are unhappy with them. To do this, simply click the bottom edge of the toolbar cluster and drag it until you are happy with its size.
Editing the toolbars in Internet Explorer.You can choose to add or remove a toolbar in Microsoft Internet Explorer. To do this, simply:
- Click Options from the View menu.
- On the General tab (this should open as the default tab) you can select or deselect the toolbars that you want from the Toolbar section.
- Click OK to save your settings.
Removing unwanted toolbars.
You may have toolbars in Internet Explorer that you don’t use. Getting rid of them can increase browsing efficiency by reducing the amount of scrolling. To remove unwanted toolbars:
- From the View menu click Options.
- From the General tab, under the Toolbar section, you can deselect any toolbar you wish to remove.
- Click OK to save your settings.

- Open up Internet Explorer.
- From the View menu, click Options.
- Click on the General tab (usually the default tab) and click Font Settings button at the bottom of the dialog box.
- Now the Fonts dialog box will appear.
- Once you are there, you can select the Proportional and Fixed-width fonts that you prefer, as well as the Character sets.
- Make your selection and click OK to save your settings.
You can change the colors of links in Internet Explorer easily. To do this:
- From the View menu click Options.
- Click the General tab.
- In the Links box, you can change the colors to whatever you like.
- Click OK.
To remove the background picture from the Internet Explorer toolbar:
